Schweinfurth Memorial Art Center Music/Performing Arts Series, February 21 – April 24
A weekly music workshop led by local musician Bob Piorun that offers opportunities for young and emerging musicians to play with and learn from experienced professionals. The series explores classical, jazz, R&B, contemporary and traditional styles of music, improvisation, song writing and careers in the performing arts. This series is held on Thursday evenings at 7:30PM.

Adams Foundation Piano Series Top Pianist, Jon Nakamatsu Returns, April 20
Fans of the California pianist will enjoy a rare opportunity to hear Nakamatsu perform in an encore performance for the Adams Foundation Piano Series, co-sponosred by Cayuga County Arts Council and Westminster Church. The program includes works by Haydn, beethoven, Schumann and Chopin. The concert takes place at 2PM at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 17 William Street in Auburn. Since his last visit to Auburn in 2004, Jon Nakamatsu's piano playing has created a resonant buzz in concert halls from neighboring Skaneateles to Germany and Japan. He has appeared as a guest soloist with the Syracuse Symphony and the Rochester Philharmonic and has seen his recording with the RPO of Gershwin's music break into Billboard's Top 10 List.

Cayuga Museum’s Blast for the Past Saturday, May 10

Schweinfurth Memorial Art Center Quilts=Art=Quilts, November 2, ‘08 – January 4, ’09
An annual juried quilt show featuring contemporary art quilts from all over the United States. The Art Center has long recognized the importance of quilts as a visual medium, and has been presenting quilts in their gallery setting since 1981. Cayuga Museum’s Annual Cocktail Party, November 15
Kick off the holiday season with a fancy and fabulous cocktail party in the Museum’s mansion, featuring top shelf libations, hors d’oeuvres and festive company. The main event is a benefit raffle – first prize is $1000, second prize $500 and third prize $250. Each chance is a $50 donation, and your ticket (good for two) to the party.
